Use clear navigation, consistent components, minimal interfaces for complex workflows, and incorporate feedback loops with users for UX validation. -
What are the benefits of using React with MobX for state management?
MobX provides fine-grained reactivity, simpler boilerplate compared to Redux, and is ideal for internal tools where fast iterations and direct mutations are needed. -
How do you ensure frontend code is clean, testable, and scalable?
Use component isolation, functional components, consistent folder structure, unit and integration testing, and enforce linting and typing with TypeScript. -
What’s your approach to cross-functional collaboration with product and design teams?
Engage early in planning, clarify edge cases, iterate on feedback quickly, and align feature priorities with usability goals and technical feasibility. -
How do you optimize frontend performance in complex internal platforms?
Implement code splitting, use memoization, optimize rendering paths, avoid unnecessary state updates, and profile regularly with tools like React DevTools. -
How do you advocate for developer efficiency within a DevTools or internal tooling team?
Automate repetitive tasks, build reusable UI components, gather feedback on bottlenecks, and track productivity metrics like build speed or setup time. -
What are key considerations when building internal infrastructure libraries for frontend teams?
Ensure clear API contracts, versioning, comprehensive documentation, backward compatibility, and strong test coverage. -
How do you integrate frontend tools with microservices backends efficiently?
Define consistent API schemas, handle errors gracefully, cache results where appropriate, and abstract network logic for reuse. -
What testing strategies do you use for frontend tools and dashboards?
Write unit tests for logic-heavy components, snapshot and interaction tests for UIs, and e2e tests with tools like Cypress or Playwright. -
How do you approach onboarding or supporting other frontend engineers with shared tooling?
