🎯 Who is this job for?

This role is ideal for a Mid-Level Project Manager (Web/Digital) with 3–5 years of experience leading complex web or CMS-driven projects, ideally in higher education. It suits someone skilled in scope management, timeline forecasting, risk mitigation, and advanced Asana workflows, with a solid understanding of WordPress, Drupal, SEO, and digital experience strategy. You should be comfortable owning multi-stakeholder web initiatives end-to-end, ensuring quality delivery, aligning cross-functional teams, and maintaining strong client-facing communication in a remote environment.

πŸ’¬ Potential Interview Questions

  1. How would you structure a multi-phase higher-education website project from kickoff to post-launch support?
I would create a detailed project roadmap aligning milestones with enrollment and engagement goals, define clear scope boundaries, and establish governance checkpoints. Post-launch, I’d implement performance reviews and optimization plans tied to measurable KPIs.

  2. How do you ensure web project deliverables align with higher-education enrollment and engagement objectives?
I collaborate closely with strategists to map website features to student journey stages, SEO goals, and conversion pathways. Success metrics such as inquiry submissions, application starts, and engagement rates guide prioritization and delivery decisions.

  3. How do you manage scope changes in complex CMS-driven web projects?
I implement structured change management processes, documenting impact on timeline, budget, and resources before approval. Clear communication and updated project artifacts prevent scope creep and protect profitability.

  4. What is your approach to managing multiple concurrent web projects while maintaining quality?
I prioritize based on strategic impact and deadlines, maintain transparent workload tracking in tools like Asana, and proactively identify risks. Regular check-ins ensure teams stay aligned and quality standards are upheld.

  5. How do you use Asana to provide visibility into project health and performance?
I configure custom fields, task dependencies, milestone tracking, and portfolio dashboards to monitor timelines and risks. Automated workflows and reporting improve accountability and proactive issue resolution.

  6. How do you ensure quality assurance across web builds and migrations?
I establish QA checklists covering functionality, accessibility, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility. Structured review cycles and pre-launch validation reduce post-launch issues.

  7. How do you handle project risks related to technical constraints or resourcing challenges?
I identify risks early through stakeholder discussions and project audits, assess impact scenarios, and propose mitigation strategies. Escalation paths are used when necessary to prevent delivery disruptions.

  8. Describe your experience working with CMS platforms like WordPress or Drupal.
I understand content modeling, theme structures, plugin/module management, and SEO configurations. This technical awareness enables more informed planning and better collaboration with development teams.

  9. How do you maintain strong client communication in a fully remote environment?
I provide proactive status updates, clear documentation of decisions, and structured meeting recaps. Transparent communication builds trust and ensures alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

  10. How would you leverage AI tools to improve project delivery workflows?
