About DualEntry

Founded in 2024, DualEntry is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI startups.

At DualEntry, the future of finance is being written today. ERP is one of the largest fintech markets in the world ($220,000,000,000+). Yet, tens of thousands of companies are still using on-premise systems, and the industry has not seen new entrants in more than 30 years.

Our AI-native ERP lets accounting teams achieve more in less time. $5M-ARR businesses to NYSE-listed companies trust DualEntry to automate away manual data entry work with AI. We’re finally making the one-person finance team a reality and putting the pain of legacy ERPs from the 1990’s in the past.

We operate with urgency and ownership. We move fast.

Why This Role Matters Now

Since starting 18 months ago, we’ve raised $100,000,0000+ from world-class investors such as Lightspeed Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures, Contrary Ventures and Google Ventures, as well as more than 20 angel investors who’ve built, scaled, and exited some of the most impactful companies of the last decade.

We got there by moving incredibly fast and hiring an exceptionally sharp, hard-working and deeply committed team from leading tech and accounting companies — Ramp, Meta, Microsoft, Lyft, PwC, Deloitte, J.P. Morgan, Bloomberg, Sage, Xero and Intuit. And some of us don't have a fancy logo on our resume and are here for a shot to prove ourselves.

We’re a small team, growing fast with huge momentum - join early.

This is an intense, hands-on role with full ownership. We expect you to push for excellence and raise the bar.

🎯 Who is this job for?

This role is ideal for a Mid-Level Frontend Engineer with 5+ years of experience and strong expertise in React and Next.js with JavaScript/TypeScript. It suits someone comfortable owning features end-to-end, building high-performance and accessible UI, and collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams in a fast-paced startup environment. You should have strong product intuition, attention to UX details, and the ability to improve frontend architecture, component systems, and performance while shipping quickly.

πŸ’¬ Potential Interview Questions

  1. How would you design a scalable frontend architecture using React and Next.js for a complex ERP platform?
I would structure the application using modular feature-based architecture, reusable components, and strong TypeScript typing. Leveraging Next.js features like server-side rendering and API routes helps maintain performance and scalability.

  2. How do you optimize performance in data-heavy applications such as financial dashboards?
I implement code splitting, lazy loading, and efficient state management to minimize unnecessary renders. I also optimize API calls and use caching strategies to ensure smooth user interactions with large datasets.

  3. How do you ensure usability when building complex workflows for accounting or ERP systems?
I simplify workflows by breaking them into intuitive steps, maintaining clear visual hierarchy, and providing helpful feedback to users. Close collaboration with product and design teams ensures the UI aligns with real user needs.

  4. Describe your approach to integrating APIs into a React/Next.js application.
I create typed service layers for API communication, handle loading and error states consistently, and ensure predictable data flow. Proper validation and debugging tools help maintain reliability.

  5. How do you maintain high code quality in a fast-moving startup environment?
I follow consistent coding standards, write meaningful tests, and participate in thorough code reviews. Even in fast-paced environments, clear architecture and documentation prevent technical debt.

  6. How would you build and maintain a reusable component library for a growing frontend platform?
I design flexible, well-documented components with consistent styling and behavior. Tools like Storybook help teams test, document, and reuse UI elements effectively.

  7. How do you approach debugging complex frontend issues in production?
I analyze browser dev tools, network requests, and application logs to isolate root causes. Once identified, I implement fixes and improve monitoring to prevent similar issues.

  8. How do you ensure accessibility and responsiveness in modern web applications?
I use semantic HTML, responsive layouts, and accessibility best practices such as proper ARIA attributes and keyboard navigation. Testing across devices ensures a consistent experience.

  9. How do you collaborate effectively with backend engineers and product teams in a remote startup?
I communicate proactively, clarify requirements early, and discuss trade-offs before implementation. Frequent feedback loops help ensure alignment and faster iteration.

  10. How do you balance speed and architectural quality when building early-stage products?
I prioritize pragmatic solutions that deliver value quickly while keeping architecture flexible for future growth. Incremental refactoring helps maintain quality as the product evolves.
