Job Description

Why Blue Coding?

At Blue Coding, we specialize in hiring excellent developers and amazing people from all over Latin America and other parts of the world. For the past 11 years, we’ve helped cutting-edge companies in the United States and Canada build great development teams and develop great products. Large multinationals, digital agencies, Saas providers, and software consulting firms are just a few of our clients. Our team of over 150 engineers, project managers, QA, UX/UI designers, and many more is distributed in more than 10 countries across the Americas. We are a fully remote company working with a wide array of technologies, and we have expertise in every stage of the software development process.

Our team is highly connected, united, and culturally diverse, and our collaborators are involved in many initiatives around the world, from wildlife preservation to volunteering at local charities. We stand for honesty, fairness, respect, efficiency, hard work, and cooperation.

This position is open exclusively to candidates based in LATAM countries.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Front-End Engineer to work with one of our US clients, a fast-growing B2B SaaS company focused on transforming behavioral health and whole-person care through innovative technology. The ideal candidate will join a mission-driven team dedicated to building secure, scalable, and high-performing digital health platforms that deliver seamless user experiences.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to develop intuitive and responsive interfaces using React, React Native, and modern web technologies. You will play a key role in shaping the look, feel, and usability of the platform — bringing to life engaging experiences that empower users to access and manage their care effectively.

If you are fluent in English, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a passion for crafting exceptional front-end experiences, this position might be a great fit for you! Our roles are fully remote, and you will be integrated directly into the client’s engineering team, gaining valuable experience and contributing to meaningful digital innovation in healthcare.

Here are some of the exciting day-to-day challenges you will face in this role:

    • Develop high-quality, responsive front-end experiences using React, React Native, TypeScript, and Next.js.
    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional code.
    • Work with Back-End engineers to integrate APIs and ensure end-to-end performance and functionality.
    • Maintain and expand the front-end design system and reusable component library.
    • Optimize applications for speed, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
    • Participate in agile sprints, code reviews, and quality assurance cycles.
    • Write tests and documentation to ensure product quality and developertransparency.
    • Contribute ideas for front-end innovation, including AI-powered UI features ordev tools.

You will shine if you have:

    • 5+ years of experience as a front-end engineer working with React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
    • Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and performance optimization.
    • Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and component-based UI architecture.
    • Experience working with RESTful & GraphQL APIs and in microservices-based systems.
    • Understanding of front-end build tools such as Webpack, npm/yarn, and CI pipelines.
    • Excited to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment.
    • Curiosity about AI and willingness to develop expertise in AI tools to reducecoding time and improve front-end workflows.

What we offer:

    • Salary in USD
    • 100% Remote

🎯 Who is this job for?

This role is ideal for a Senior Front-End Engineer in LATAM with 5+ years of experience in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and responsive design. Candidates should be skilled in API integration (REST/GraphQL), performance optimization, and component libraries, with interest in AI-powered UI tools. Best for those seeking remote work in a mission-driven healthcare SaaS environment.

πŸ’¬ Potential Interview Questions

  1. How do you ensure accessibility and performance in a React or React Native app?
I use semantic HTML, ARIA roles, test with screen readers, follow WCAG guidelines, lazy-load components, optimize image assets, and profile performance using tools like Lighthouse or React DevTools.

  2. Describe your experience working with TypeScript in React-based projects.
I leverage TypeScript for defining props and component state types, use interfaces for API responses, and enforce strict typing across modules to prevent runtime bugs and improve code readability.

  3. What’s your approach to integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs in frontend applications?
I use Axios or fetch for REST, Apollo Client for GraphQL, handle loading/error states with hooks, and normalize data into the frontend state for smooth UI interactions.

  4. How do you collaborate with UX/UI designers to bring mockups into responsive, functional code?
I review design specs (e.g., Figma), communicate edge cases early, translate layout using CSS Grid/Flexbox and media queries, and iterate based on feedback through design QA sessions.

  5. What strategies do you use to maintain and scale a component library?
I follow atomic design principles, build reusable components with Storybook, document props and behaviors, and enforce design tokens and theming consistency.

  6. How do you write tests for front-end applications and ensure code quality?
I use Jest and React Testing Library for unit and integration tests, test user flows over implementation details, and include CI checks for coverage and linting.

  7. What’s your experience with Next.js, and how have you used it in production?
I’ve used Next.js for SSR/SSG, built API routes, configured dynamic routing, optimized SEO and page load speed, and deployed apps with Vercel or custom Node setups.

  8. How do you handle styling in React or React Native apps?
I use CSS Modules or Tailwind for React, and StyleSheet.create or styled-components in React Native, ensuring responsive, theme-consistent, and maintainable styles.

  9. What tools do you use to improve developer efficiency and frontend workflows?
I use AI-assisted tools like Cursor/Copilot for scaffolding, linters for code consistency, Storybook for component testing, and hot reloading for quick UI iteration.

  10. How do you stay organized and collaborative in a remote, fast-paced engineering team?
I maintain clear async communication via Slack/Jira, document thoroughly in Confluence or Notion, update tasks regularly, and attend standups or retros with structured updates.
